Hey guys, sorry it's been a while since the last entry but I have been really ill. Been pumped full of antibiotics and bed ridden for more than a week. The last thing I was thinking about was training and blog writing. Out of bed now though but struggling with anything labour-like. Haven't been to work in that time so I am getting a little bored. Have been using the time though to look at my diet and see of there is anyway I can improve what I have been eating, as I want to keep my immune system as strong and healthy as possible. I have been looking at non-supplement forms as I am happy enough with what I use now. Food is the best source of anything if you can find what you need.
So I have been looking at berries and antioxidants, also avocado with all its lovely fat and energy boosting qualities. I have read that it is one of the best foods for your immune system, so I will be increasing my intake... just wish it wasn't so expensive! Whey protein is also very good for the immune, and I know I get enough of that already. I love mushrooms and they are also wonderful for this, as well as eggs... so my breakfasts are set.. egg avocado and mushroom. Boom.
Is there anything you guys recommend or that I should be looking into? Would love any questions or tips.
Here's to a healthier new week!

Another Week of Fitness!
Good morning my fitness friends! I hope everybody is fighting fit and ready for another week of amazing training! This week I have really stepped it up a notch and only had 1 rest day, and even that was hard to just relax, I really wanted to be working out! I have been working on my arms a lot recently and have increased my workout to suit that.
I have now been working on muscle gain and definition. I now work at 10 X 5 sets of hammer curls (18KG) and follow that with forearm charges. For the forearm I lower the weight to 12KG but still do my 10 sets of 5 reps. I then lower the weights each by 4KG and do 15 X 3 sets. At the end of this part of the workout I then take 8KG weights and do 20 X 4 sets, with around 90 seconds in between each set. Try this exercise and tell me you don't feel your arms getting bigger by the second!
I also love to use the cables to workout my arms. Real slow movements mean you can really feel the burn, and you can put the pressure on the part of the arms that really need it. It's impossible to get tge definition without this slow burning process. I do bicep curls followed by lateral curls, this way I am getting a full workout on my biceps.
I tend to keep tricep work limited to when I work out my chest, as working out biceps and triceps at the same time I find really tires out the arms very quickly. Maybe it will be different for some of you, but I like to keep them separate. Training is about finding your own way though once you know the basics, and that is the fun part!

Home Fitness
Hello my fitness loving friends! I am back, it's a new week, and I feel tougher and stronger than ever! It's always good to get some new equipment, and it doesn't matter how big or small, because I always find that these little purchases can get you motivated when you are feeling a bit off the pace or you are feeling a little run down.
So this happened to me this week, I had some bad news and I was feeling like there was no point in going to the gym, so I thought why not get something that I can do at home? I have made some space in the second room, originally not for the purpose of this but I thought f%&( it, lets make a second gym at home.
I was thinking along the lines of a simple weight bench, with some dumbells to go with it. Doesn't sound ground breaking or particularly inspiring to you, but I was so excited once I made up my mind! Haha, I'm such a gym geek!
Anyway I was looking online and I found a great second hand website for this, and just about anything else it seems. I needed second hand because, to be honest I do not have a lot of cash lying around (too much whey protein bought, haha). I typed in "home fitness equipment" and found all of these great deals here http://www.for-sale.in/gym-equipment#
I got a great deal on my new bench and dumbells, very happy indeed!

Myprotein
Whats up guys and (hopefully) girls?? ;) It's Monday again and I have the morning to myself (it's my rest day this week), so I thought I would give you guys an insight into a brand that is really working for me at the moment, and has been for the past 2 years. Myprotein are definitely not cheap, but in the fitness game you just have to pay those extra premiums if you want to get those extra gains. They are based in the UK, but they have good delivery rates for all over the world, and are becoming hugely popular and gaining lots of weight-cred! There whole range is exceptional (barring one or two wheys, but that is just personal opinion on the taste). Ultra high protein ratios mean you are getting value for money, even if you are shelling out a little extra in the beginning, compared to other brands.
In my personal regime, I use the following Myprotein products; Impact Whey Protein (over 80%), Creatine Monohydrate (get the flavoured variety, as standard creatine is very strong and unpleasant tasting), Leucine tablets (these are considered to be an essential amino acid, which is needed to break down protein in the body).
A special mention goes to the Hurricane XS. It is very useful if you think you need to increase carb and protein intake, and it also has added creatine. Since I started using the Hurricane XS, my gains have increased and I am getting leaner all the time, almost daily improvements in fact. They also have great advice portals, so if you are a beginner, or are just a little unsure of your next step, then ask the guys there, or you could even ask me!

Hey everyone, so here is my first proper blog post, and I am a little bit nervous! haha (not really, i'm much tougher than that, due to all the weights that I do!).
Today I want to talk about my nutrition regime, as I have been getting good results very quickly. I set myself a target of at least 5 sessions per week, perhaps 6 depending on my schedule. My diet is very strict, (I am doing a low carb, high fat diet), but one day during the week (usually my rest day) I will eat that many carbs that the supermarket runs out of rice and bread!
Anyway, my diet consists of eggs in the mornings, and as I am eating a high fat diet, I don't bother separating the yolks and whites. I will have the eggs with some vegetables, usually tomatoes and spinach. I love using garam masala and fresh herbs, I like to cook a lot, so I have fun experimenting every morning. Oh and a bit of fried paneer.
Lunch time is usually soup with fish, lots of fish, oh and as i snack I will eat some oatcakes if I am hungry during the morning.
For dinner, my favourite meal is lots of roasted vegetables, topped with fried fish. This meal is very delicious and very healthy, I don't think I will ever get bored of it. You can exchange the fish for any meat also, and it is just as nice. If you have some then add some cream cheese to the vegetable mix, you won't regret it, honest!
I also cook everything in coconut oil... It's a super healthy and very tasty oil, that actually helps in reducing fat, and has lots and lots of other health benefits
